Welcome to the INTERVENT website for the American Society for Preventive Cardiology (ASPC), its members and their patients. During the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, we are collaborating to provide ASPC’s members and their patients free access to some of INTERVENT's evidence-based, online/digital, educational resources and content. These resources focus on lifestyle management and are designed to help you reduce your risk for cardiovascular disease, especially heart attacks and strokes, and/or recover from a cardiac event.
The ASPC represents a multidisciplinary group of healthcare providers (including physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, dietitians and other healthcare specialists) along with researchers and industry representatives who share an interest in and passion for preventive cardiology. For more information about ASPC, please visit www.aspconline.org
Founded in 1997, INTERVENT is a physician-led, US-based, global health management company that provides its services using digital and telemedicine approaches. Its one-on-one, live, lifestyle management health coaching programs have been shown to be effective in numerous published studies. More than two million individuals have used INTERVENT’s services, including patients from over 150 medical centers as part of two recent large studies funded by the National Institutes of Health. The foods you eat, the stress you feel and the activities you do all affect your health. Now you can find out how by completing INTERVENT’s health assessment.
The health assessment is a free, confidential online assessment that considers your lifestyle habits and health history to determine how healthy you are and whether you’re at risk for or could better manage heart disease and certain other chronic diseases or illnesses. It only takes about 15 minutes to complete.
Once you complete the health assessment, you will immediately receive a personal wellness report and a wealth of useful information individually tailored for you. You must complete INTERVENT’s health assessment before enrolling in the self-help online lifestyle management and cardiovascular disease coaching program. Please email us at info@myintervent.com with questions. You may also call us at 1-855-494-1093 if you have any questions.
Think of the self-help online program like a self-help book that contains content and resources that have been personalized for you.
This version of our program is designed especially for people who desire to manage their own program. The self-help program focuses on lifestyle management and cardiovascular disease risk reduction. Topics include understanding heart disease, preventing and managing risk factors for heart disease, nutrition, exercise/physical activity, weight management, stress management and, if needed, smoking cessation.
You will participate at your own pace via the Internet, so you will have the convenience of completing assessments and accessing materials at times that work for you. While this program is not a quick solution, with your doctor’s or healthcare provider’s consent to participate, it’s a safe, proven way to help you get started toward achieving lasting results. And, you receive the same high-quality educational materials and tools as participants in INTERVENT’s one-on-one, live, scientifically-proven health coaching programs.
You must first complete INTERVENT’s health assessment before enrolling. Please email us at info@myintervent.com with questions. You may also call us at 1-855-494-1093 to speak to a customer care representative.
