INTERVENT's Health and Wellness Coach Training and Education Program
Re-approved by NBHWC
Savannah, Georgia (January 17, 2024) - INTERVENT International, LLC (INTERVENT) is pleased to announce that its health and wellness coach training and education program has been re-approved by the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). Graduates of the INTERVENT coach training program are eligible to apply for the NBHWC certifying examination to become a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC).
In December 2015, INTERVENT was among the first training organizations approved and has maintained approval continuously since that time. INTERVENT's current NBHWC approval will remain in effect for three years commencing January 1, 2024 and ending January 1, 2027.
Since 2016, the NBHWC has collaborated with the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) to provide a robust board certification examination which has led to more than 10,000 coaches holding the NBC-HWC credential and allowed for the profession to advance in all aspects of health care and wellness. In recent years, NBHWC has worked diligently to establish reimbursement for health and wellness coaching services within health care settings. We provide more than 75 instructional hours of training and education covering the NBHWC certifying examination content outline. We are proud to say that a very high percentage of our graduates are successful in obtaining the prestigious NBC-HWC certification."
